Satellite WiFi for all aircrafts of American Airlines

Your summer trip with American Airlines might enable you to use internet most of your way. The airlines recently set up Satellite-based internet access in 700 domestic, narrow body aircrafts. They will be using two connections viz. Gogo 2Ku and ViaSat Ka for different routes. These connections will provide faster speed and better WiFi consistency as compared to the old ones. A year ago, satellite broadband was installed in wide body planes of American Airlines.

Mainline and two-class regional aircrafts will also have power outlets to make them convenient for tablet users.

This WiFi service will be paid.  American offers Apple music streaming free of charge and others offer free messaging. Free WiFi testing is already going on by Delta. However, paying for WiFi on board is still better than having weak connection or no connection on the flight.
